POTTY PARTY!!!!

I am ever-so-pleased to announce that after a dozen years we are finally done with diapers!!! It is a truly liberating and celebration worthy event! Bless little Isaac's heart for finally cooperating and when he made up his mind that it was time, that was that. We've only had one accident in almost 3 weeks!

I started the tradition with Georgia of making a "toilet cake". It has improved a little each time I've made it and this one is quite cute, if I do say so myself. Isaac was beside himself with excitement for his potty party even though we had to wait almost a week after he started being a "big boy" to get it done. Our friends, the Valencia's were visiting and we were happy to share our celebration with them.

(You may notice the candles on the cake...Isaac (being 3) equates cake with birthdays which of course include candles to blow out, so we obliged him.)

We look forward to enjoying the "post-diaper" phase in our family's life!!
