Father's Day Fun

Ken just recently acquired an RC airplane. The first time we tried to fly it, it was breezy, too breezy we came to find out. We take it to the large field behind the school across the street so we have a large open area to fly it in. Ken flew it for a little while and then it crashed into the branches of a tree in a neighboring yard.

We've been waiting for a breeze free day (a rarity in Idaho Falls, unfortunately) and finally found a 20 minute window yesterday morning that was nearly breeze free. We rushed out to the field, with the kids in their pj's, and Ken got to fly it. I basically had to wake Isaac up to take him and when I asked him if he wanted to go watch daddy fly the plane his eyes opened wide, he yawned a big yawn, and said "yep!" The first thing he said when I picked him up off of his pillow was, "ai-pain, fwy..." and with a big grin, "tree, cwash!" He continued saying "fwy, tree, cwash" all the way to the school very excitedly. Luckily there weren't anymore crashes into trees and Ken got to fly it for a few minutes before it got pretty interesting when the breeze picked up. We quite while we were ahead and hope to be able to fly it some more sometime soon.

The rest of the day was spent installing new ceiling fans in our dining room and each of the upstairs bedrooms. This picture is of the fan in our dining room.

Well, Isaac is crying since his Dad just left to go home teaching so I'd better rescue him.
